CINTAN
instant noodles was first introduced to the Malaysian market in 1969 and it became a hit with consumers. The latest in its instant noodles range is Malaysia’s first nutritional noodle, the Cintan Nutri Noodle, which is perfect for those who do not have the time but still want something nutritious.

"After 40 years of strong brand building, Cintan has grown to become more than a trademark. Today, it is a household name within the instant noodle category," said Owen Ow, managing director and CEO of Yeo Hiap Seng (Malaysian) Berhad.

"I believe we are not only creating a new niche in the instant noodle category but we have answered the cry for convenience with nutritional value," added Ow.

The Cintan Nutri Noodles comes in two flavours – Cintan Nutri Chicken Flavour (made with Wholemeal flour) and Cintan Nutri Vege Curry Flavour (made with soy flour).

"Contrary to typical instant noodles which are fried as part of their manufacturing process, Cintan Nutri Noodle is made through an innovative non-frying process. This nutritious instant noodles is 100% steam-cooked and air-dried, which makes it low in fat and cholesterol free," said Ow.

This steaming and then air-drying technique was developed at Cintan’s research and development team based in Ipoh. Each serving of Cintan Nutri Noodle has less than 3g of fat, 7.5g of protein (equivalent to one egg), 362.5 mg of calcium (equivalent to eight tablespoons of milk powder) and 8.9g of dietary fibre (equivalent to 29 apples).

It also comes with dehydrated carrots and spinach and there is no added MSG. Cintan Nutri Noodle is now available is leading retail outlets. – S. Indra Sathiabalan
