Emma Watson fronts Burberry campaign
British actress Emma Watson, known for her appearances in the Harry Potter movies, is the new face of UK fashion brand Burberry, which regularly features members of the British it-crowd in its ads.
Taking over from such industry big shots as supermodels Agyness Deyn and Kate Moss, Watson is in fashionable company, sharing this season’s spotlight with young actors Douglas Booth and Tom Hughes and male models Charlie France and Tom Guinness who is also a DJ.
Shot by Italian star photographer Mario Testino and conceived by Burberry’s creative director Christopher Bailey, the pictures show Watson and her fellow models posing in emblematic trench coats and tartan design in London’s historic Westminster district, not far from the label’s new headquarters in Horseferry Road. Emma is carrying the new Woolf bag, launched this season, and the eagerly awaited "snood", a tube scarf that premiered at Burberry Prorsum’s runway show during the last Milan Fashion Week in spring.
The campaign will debut in publications in August; a making-of video will be available on burberry.com from July. – AFP Relaxnews
