MTV
Networks Asia has announced four more international acts performing at the MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia to be held at Sunway Lagoon Surf Beach on Aug 15 besides the earlier ones such as Kasabian, All American Rejects and local band Estranged. Joining them are American rock bands Hoobastank and Boys Like Girls and British band Raygun as well as pop sensation Pixie Lott.

Hoobastank’s fourth album was released in January this year and it marks a return to its rock roots which made the earlier album The Reason a big hit.

Boys Like Girls on the other hand released its debut self-titled album Boys Like Girls in 2007 with hits such as The Great Escape and Thunder.

The crossover success of radio hits Hero/Heroine and The Great Escape has resulted in combined digital sales of more than four million copies. The band recently announced that its sophomore album, Love Drunk, will be released in September this year.

The album’s title track and lead single was recently released and is enjoying good radio airplay in the US. Over one million people have already streamed it on iTunes.

With a voice that raises eyebrows, a dancing ability that wows and a song writing flair that sets toes tapping, 18-year-old Pixie Lott is arguably the hottest new girl on Britain’s music scene. Her debut hit Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh) has been reigning the UK singles chart. Her much anticipated debut album, Turn It Up, will be released on Sept 14 and she will be MTV’s PUSH artiste for the month of August.

Exciting new UK band, Raygun has the razzle of New Wave and the dazzle of the Scissor Sisters’ disco. The band’s first single will be released on Aug 3 this year.

Music fans in Malaysia can look forward to being a part of MTV World Stage - Live in Malaysia by taking part in the upcoming road show and winning concert passes to the event. The road show will be held at The Curve on Aug 1 and 2 from noon to 7pm.

Besides fun games and collectible premium giveaways, auditions will also be held at the roadshow where only the wildest, loudest and most passionate music fan will gain access to hottest spot of the show – the Mosh Pit!

Concert passes are also up for grabs at http://worldstage.mtvasia.com, from now to Aug 7. All you have to do is to answer two questions to qualify for the draw to win passes.
