CONSUMERS looking for an all-in-one Smartphone should check out Samsung Malaysia Electronics Sdn Bhd’s Omnia II (model i8000).
The device, which was launched last Thursday by Samsung Malaysia Electronic (SME) Sdn Bhd director for mobile phone Andrew Cheong, features the latest technology, including an ultra-fast 800MHz application processor, crystal-clear WVGA AMOLED display and more.
SME managing director Yoon Ki Keung said: "Samsung has made a great effort to reinforce its leadership in the Smartphone market over the past several years and the success of Omnia II is proof of our continuous efforts.
"I strongly believe that Omnia II will satisfy the needs of consumers who want it all – efficiency at work, communications with their loved ones, fun multimedia experiences and style for any occasion.
"The powerful multimedia capabilities in the Samsung Omnia II combined with the familiar, easy-to-use Windows Mobile software, will offer customers a single, versatile device for work, home or play."
Omnia means ‘everything’ in Latin and ‘wish’ in Arabic, and just like its predecessor, Omnia II offers everything – from bringing together high-performance business content, top-of-the-range style and a powerful, dynamic multimedia experience for an unmatched all-in-one experience.
"Omnia II is designed both for the professionals as well as ordinary users as it offers everything you would want in a mobilephone,"said Cheong.
"I believe Omnia II will do well for us as it offers a wide range of features and is a powerful Smartphone to fulfil the needs of today’s consumers."
Samsung launched the first Omnia last year and it was well received globally as well as in Malaysia. It was one of the first Smartphones from Samsung.
Omnia II is truly made for the Smartphone user who wants a phone that offers an enhanced and convenient multimedia experience featuring Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. With the largest AMOLED display at 3.7in and with crystal-clear WVGA resolution, the Omnia II offers unbeatable screen clarity that can be viewed easily even in daylight.
The device comes with larger icons and a simpler structure and its innovative TouchWiz 2.0 User Interface ensures convenient, high-speed multi-tasking.
This also allows users to engage and enjoy the rich multimedia functions, including its DVD-like (480p) video recording/playback, smooth internet browsing as well as interactive 3D games.
Users can also access and download content fast while on the move, thanks to the Omnia II’s HSUPA 5.7Mbps, HSDPA 7.2Mbps and Wi-Fi capabilities. The 48GB memory space allows room for storage of favourite contents for on-the-go access.
The Omnia II (8GB) retails for RM2,399.
