TREASURE hunters taking part in theSun Motor Hunt
this year will have their cars powered by Petronas Primax 95 – the event’s official fuel sponsor.

A dedicated supporter since 2006, Petronas will be providing each adrenaline-charged team with a RM50 voucher to fuel their efforts, with enough petrol to last the teams throughout and beyond the race.

"Our involvement in theSun Motor Hunt is part of our continuous contribution to the community," said Petronas Dagangan Bhd Corporate Services Division general manager Nur Azmin Abu Bakar.

"We strive to support and encourage activities that not only promote teamwork, creativity and strategic thinking but also a healthy competition in the process of seeking knowledge," he said.

"The motor hunt is an exciting way to support this endeavour, especially when it has gained much popularity among motorists in the country over the years," he said when handing over Petronas’ sponsorship to theSun’s advertising and marketing manager Anafiah Omar.

Asked what advice he would offer upcoming hunters, Nur Azmin said: "Take this opportunity to get to know your team members, and strategise on the best way to tackle each question while having fun.

"Ensure that your car is filled up with enough fuel to last you through the day, and lastly, be a responsible driver. If you’re sleepy or need to refresh yourself, stop by any Petronas station along the hunt route," he said.

Participants can also use the fuel vouchers to buy food, snacks and coffee at Petronas outlets to remain energised throughout the race.

A total of 31 brands are assisting the hunt, including main sponsor Great Eastern Life Assurance, prize sponsor Samsung, media partner Mix.fm, sponsors HSBC, McDonald’s, Sports Toto, Kao Biore Men and Northport.

Co-sponsors and partners include PVSL Sound & Light, Mix FM, Sime Darby Convention Centre, Elken, Milo, Nescafe, Nesvita 3in1 Green Tea, Revive Isotonic, Dentyne, Clorets, Ambipur Car Perfume, Protex Soap, Ava Fabric Softener, Harimau Kuat Dishwashing Liquid, Win Fabricare Powder Detergent, M&M’s, Clear Unisex Shampoo, Clear Men’s Shampoo, Kenny Rogers Roasters, Tesco, Bata, Sunway and Berjaya Air. Time Out Solutions will be the clerk-of-course.

The hunt will flag off at 7am on Sunday, and is set to challenge treasure hunters through a series of tricky questions for a range of electronic prizes provided by Samsung. Registration closed last week.
