The Feel Good channel is once again organising the TV station’s star-studded year-end party – the Star Live Concert 2009 – which will be broadcast live over ntv7 on Dec 19.

This free concert at Bukit Jalil Stadium Carpark A from 8.30pm to 11.30pm is ntv7’s way of showing its appreciation to its loyal viewers. Concert-goers are encouraged to come in red in support of the concert’s colour theme for this year.

The line-up of artistes is the biggest so far with 12 artistes in all providing non-stop music and song throughout the night.

Local performers like Eric Lim, Yise Loh, Suki Low, Amy Wong and Kay will be joining top Asian crooners like Taiwanese singers Richie Ren and Valen Tsu, Hongkong stars Kelly Chen, Alex Fong and Vangie Teng, and China’s Liu Li Yang for the three-hour-long extravaganza.

Airin Zainul, ntv7’s general manager, said: "We are pleased to be able to showcase this exciting concert once again as our way of saying thank you to our viewers and the community."

He said Star Live Concert 2008 managed to get 600,000 viewers aged six and above, making it the most watched show within its time belt.

On-ground spectators for its roadshows numbered 60,000 last year, and the TV station expects a similar or even better response this time.

This year, five roadshows have been scheduled leading to the actual event. The first is at Megamall Pinang, Seberang Perai, on Nov 28 at 2.30pm; 1 Utama, Petaling Jaya, on Nov 29 at 4pm; Batu Pahat Mall, Batu Pahat, on Dec 5 at 3pm; Mahkota Parade, Malacca, on Dec 5, at 8pm; and Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur, on Dec 12, at 5pm.

The concert is again sponsored by Sports Toto for the third year running. – Chan Soo Wah
