Bohemian chic

You may have seen the brand while browsing fashion blog sites and wondered when it will come to Malaysia? The British label, Monsoon, is finally here, having made its debut in Parkson Suria KLCC recently.
Launched in 1973, when Peter Simon opened his first boutique in Beauchamp Place, Knightsbridge, London, the brand has since travelled many miles to its current position as one of the destination stores of the UK high street.
Taking inspiration from new season’s trends to create the new collection, the intrinsic beauty of fabric, colour and technique is evident in the early sourcing of Monsoon’s products from the Far East that continues to exercise a strong influence. Developed over the years, Monsoon now holds collections including womenswear, childrenswear, menswear, home, accessories and originals as well as the new trend-led capsule collection Fusion.
In conjunction with its launch, Monsoon recently showcased its Autumn Winter 2009 collection.
The Bohemian style is reflected in a striking and ultra-feminine collection this season, crossing continents and traversing cultures whilst drawing inspiration from its heritage of exotic colour and ornamental prints. Drawing on the cultures of Native America, Navajo explores the nostalgia of the prairies of the Wild West with handcrafted traditional techniques and tribal decoration.
