Grammy nominations on Dec 2
NOMINATIONS for the 52nd annual Grammy Awards will be announced on Dec 2 at a special concert event in Los Angeles.
Hosted by LL Cool J (pix), the event will feature performances by Black Eyes Peas, Maxwell, Sugarland, and Nick Jonas & the Administration.
The Grammys were established in 1958 and are one of the most prestigious music award shows worldwide. Nominations, which are submitted by the Recording Industry Association of America, cover 31 fields, including pop, rock, classical, and a wide variety of other genres.
A general field includes four awards that are not restricted by genre, for Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artiste.
Winning artistes at the 51st annual ceremony included Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, Adele, Lil Wayne, and Coldplay.
