THERE is hope yet for retrenched executives to continue working in the business field.
Vistage Malaysia – a partner of Vistage International – is initiating a community service project to help a selected group of executives or managers who have plans to start their own enterprises.
Vistage Malaysia will recruit 40 retrenched employees of the last 12 months to participate in the project estimated to cost RM200,000.
The participation is complimentary of Vistage Malaysia and the project will be held in Kuala Lumpur and Penang.
The project is set to run for nine months where participants will partake in the Small Business Programme.
Participants will have to engage in regular structured meetings and one-on-one coaching with experienced ex-CEOs and entrepreneurs.
The recruits will also be able to learn from experts on relevant business matters and have access to the international online Vistage library for business ideas and practices.
Those interested in applying for the project must have a minimal qualification of a diploma or degree and have at least three years’ working experience.
The applicants will also have to undergo a personal profiling evaluation for entrepreneur competency.
Applications for the project is now open and the dateline is June 30.
The selected participants will be notified by July 15.
