Regulate property prices

WE refer to "Affordable homes remain a dream" (The Nutmeg Verses, Sept 2). The proposed adjustment of downpayment from 10% to 20% for housing loans is a good sign to control speculators. However, property prices should be regulated first.

24-hour nightmare!

WHOEVER says 24-hour restaurants are a god-sent should live behind one. My problem started more than two years ago when the shop behind my house near Ken 2 condominium in Petaling Jaya was converted into a restaurant.

Counter proposal on hold

WE
refer to "Have separate counter for runners" (Letters, Sept 7). Our investigations show that the number of cases filed monthly by persons not represented by counsel, including small claims matters, at the magistrate’s court in George Town, is still low compared to the number of other civil cases.
